Ingredients

  • ½medium headcabbage, shredded
  • ½cupchopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • ¼cupthinly sliced red onion
  • 1mediumjalapeño pepper, seeded and diced
  • ¼cupolive oil
  • 1 ½tablespoonsfresh lime juice
  • 1 ½tablespoonsred wine vinegar
  • ½teaspoonsalt
  • 1pinchwhite sugar

  • Directions

    Place cabbage in a large bowl with cilantro, onion, and jalapeño; toss to combine.

    Mix oil, lime juice, vinegar, salt, and sugar together in a small bowl. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Let sit on the counter for 1 to 2 hours, then drain. Serve at room temperature.
