Ingredients

  • ¾cupunsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½teaspoonbaking soda
  • ⅔cupvegetable oil, divided
  • ½cupboiling water
  • 2cupswhite sugar
  • 2largeeggs
  • 1 ⅓cupsall-purpose flour
  • 1teaspoonvanilla extract
  • ¼teaspoonsalt

  • Directions

    Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch pan.

    Stir cocoa and baking soda together in a large bowl.

    Mix in boiling water and 1/3 cup oil until well blended and thickened.
